How to Get to Boracay?

Well first of all, Boracay is located in the western Visayas region of the Philippines, the flight times range anywhere from 45 minutes to 1 hour leaving from either Cebu or Manila to the Caticlan Domestic Airport or the Kalibo International Airport both of which are on Panay Island, an Akan Province.

Which Airport Should I Choose?

Caticlan Airport – Shortest Route

From Manila to Boracay using the Caticlan Airport is the quickest route to the island of Boracay, the time saver here is the fact that once you land at the Caticlan Airport, your ground transportation time to the Caticlan Jetty Port is only 5 to 10 minutes, then your on a banca boat headed to the Cagban Beach jetty port which is just an additional 15 minutes, then another 15 to 30 mintues to your resort via a L-300 van.

Total Transport Time: 1 hour and 30 minutes – approximately

Pros: Quicker,
Cons: Airline Ticket Prices are Higher

Kalibo Airport – Longest Route

Now from Manila to Boracay using the Kalibo International Airport is a little bit longer, this is due to the added ground transportation time of 1 hour and 30 minutes. The planes that fly into Kalibo are jets, so they are larger and more comfortable, if this is important to you then the Kalibo to Boracay route should be your choice.

Once your plane arrives at the Kalino Airport you will need to get on a bus or rent a van that will take you on a 1.5 hour ride along a coastal highway to the town of Caticlan, from here you will need to get on a banca boat at the jetty port that will take you over to the Cagban Beach on Boracay Isalnd, once here you will need to contract either a tricycle or a van that will then transport you to your designated beach resort or Boracay hotel.

Total Transport Time: 2 hour and 30 minutes – approximately

Pros: Cheaper Airline Tickets
Cons: Longer Travel Time
